Why We Exist?
The complex fabric of Pashto music, an integral part of our cultural heritage, faces numerous challenges in the modern era. We observe the gradual fading of traditional and folkloric music forms and styles, a shortage of educational assets and resources, a lack of modern recording and production facilities, and limited opportunities for emerging artists to flourish.
Furthermore, the global recognition and appreciation of Pashto music remains hindered by the absence of a specialized institution committed to this art. In light of these pressing challenges, the establishment of the “Pashto Music Institute” becomes an urgent necessity. The aim of this Institute will be to safeguard, nurture, and advance Pashto music to a prominent and sustainable position within our cultural landscape.
